A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm a freelance illustrator from London, specialised in illustrated map design
My colourful and detail-packed maps and illustrations celebrate places and people in an engaging and playful way.
My maps make excellent marketing tools as they bring a place to life, are beautifully eye catching and importantly, they are clear and easy to use.
I discovered my love of drawing whilst working as an architect in London. A graduate of the Bartlett School and the Royal College of Art, my architectural background is still evident in my intricate style and detailed cityscapes. In 2016 I swapped the bright lights of London for Berlin to start my career as an illustrator, and since then I have had the pleasure of creating illustrated maps and artworks for clients around the world including universities, charities, city councils, architects and developers, hotels and organisations.
Recent clients include: SOAS (University of London), Soho House, Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, University of Cambridge, Beaverbrook Hotels, FortIT, Elephant Park, University of Stirling and The Royal Lancaster London.
I am proud to be a member of the Association of Illustrators.
I'm always happy to speak to prospective clients about an idea, if you'd like to get in touch you can do so here.
"We couldn't be happier with the illustrated campus map Katherine produced for us. As the project is multifaceted, we presented Katherine with a really complex brief and lots of different ideas that she was able to pull together into one awesome, cohesive design that really captured the tone we were aiming for.
Throughout, Katherine was really responsive to our suggestions and ideas, as well as producing solutions that really tied the project together. She was an absolute joy to work with, her vision, talent, and unwavering patience throughout the process made the whole project really enjoyable. Feedback from colleagues at the University has been hugely positive, with many noting the fun smaller elements as well as the key icons (the ducks in bowler hats are a particular crowd pleaser). Katherine's created a beautiful centrepiece for a tool that I hope prospective students will enjoy for years to come".

"Working with Katherine was a fantastic experience. From our initial consultation to the final delivery, the process was smooth and collaborative. She took the time to understand our vision and goals for the project, and her collaborative approach made us feel involved and valued throughout the entire process. Katherine showed great attention to detail, creativity and was very flexible while gathering and implementing our feedback during the development process.
We are very happy with the final result. Katherine’s illustration beautifully captures the complexity of cyber security management in a vibrant and engaging way. It perfectly encapsulates the essence of our message and has been very well-received by our team and clients. We highly recommend Katherine for her unique artistic talent and professional approach. We look forward to working with her again".
